Gustoso Sweets light up in Antwerp

GustosoA new store just opened in Antwerp on Monday, August 12. It’s called Gustoso Sweets LLC. They are a full-service bakery – specifically sweet baked goods. Delicacies include donuts, cookies, muffins, coffee, tea, cinnamon rolls, fritters, bread, etc. All of the goods are baked or made fresh daily and the jelly donuts are injected first thing in the morning.

Al and Jen Manella decided to open the store a while back when they saw the Antwerp’s grocery store – River Street Market – was going to open again. Al talked with Doug Bragg, owner of River Street Market, and it was decided to open the previously closed bakery.

The new full-service bakery will be open Monday through Saturday from 6 AM to 6 PM and Sunday 6 AM to 2 PM.

Al has much experience in the restaurant business. He and Jen also own the Subway in Hicksville. They have been operating it for the past 10 years.
