Antwerp Police Reports

On December 5, officers were dispatched to an alarm at Antwerp Exchange Bank, which was determined to be a false alarm.
On December 6, police responded to a call from Antwerp Exchange Bank regarding two suspicious vehicles. The vehicles had left the area before officers arrived.
On December 7, Antwerp Police assisted Antwerp EMS at a residence on Woodland Drive. Officers also conducted a security check of a local business at the request of management and confirmed the building was secure.
On December 8, officers also assisted a resident by unlocking a vehicle upon request.
On December 9, a Buffalo Street resident reported her ex-boyfriend came to her residence and left after she advised him she was calling police.
On December 12, a Park Avenue Villas resident reported possible damage to a garage door caused by a vehicle backing into it. The incident remains under investigation. Also on December 12, a business owner at Pop & Brew reported several theft incidents. Officers investigated, identified the suspect, prepared a report, and forwarded the case to the prosecutor’s office. That same day, a resident reported that her ex-boyfriend allegedly swerved his vehicle toward her while she was driving, believing he was attempting to strike her vehicle. Additionally, the Auglaize County Probation Department contacted Antwerp Police Department regarding a village resident.
On December 13, police responded to an alarm at Antwerp Schools. Upon arrival, officers determined the alarm was accidental.
On December 15, officers responded to a report of a disabled vehicle near the intersection of Main and River streets. The driver was assisted and the vehicle was towed shortly thereafter.
On December 16, officers investigated a report from a Daggett Street resident regarding $400 worth of gifts from Amazon that had been delivered to the wrong address. The package was located in front of the fire department and returned to the resident. On the same day, police were contacted after an emergency button was activated inside a truck. An officer searched the village but was unable to locate the vehicle. In addition, a village resident reported multiple domestic violence incidents that allegedly occurred on October 31, November 14, November 27 and December 5. A report was prepared and forwarded to the prosecutor’s office.
