Carolyn S. Jones

LATTY, OH: 

Carolyn S. Jones, age 74, of Latty, OH, passed away at her home on Sunday, February 22, 2026 surrounded by her family.

She was born in Paulding, OH on December 21, 1951 to the late Roy and Betty (Doster) Keck. On January 5, 1970, she married Paul Jones. 

A dedicated soul with a creative heart, Carolyn was often found with a crochet hook in hand making beautiful items for those she loved. When she wasn’t at her craft, she was most likely enjoying the simple pleasure of a golf cart drive through the neighborhood or spending time with family quietly at home. Known as “Whisper Red”, some of her happiest moments were spent on the back of a motorcycle with her husband, Paul, embracing the freedom of their many rides together. Carolyn was a devoted companion to her beloved dog, Tipsy. The two were inseparable, sharing a bond that brought her endless joy and comfort. Her kindness, spirit, and love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was a member of the V- Twin Cruisers and Cruiser Club USA motorcycle clubs and also enjoyed target shooting.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 56 years, Paul Jones, Latty, OH; daughters: Kelly (Ryan) Myers, Van Wert, OH; Karen Gebhart, Defiance, OH; brother, James (Linda) Keck, Paulding, OH; sisters: Joyce Keck, Paulding, OH; Marsha (Jerry) Mericle, Mt. Dora, FL; grandchildren: Emma Myers, Ryan Myers, Brad Gebhart, Sara Gebhart; three great grandchildren.

She is also preceded in death by grandson, Derek “Smiley” Gebhart.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
