The Latty Youth Foundation benefitted from the Latty Community Festival last summer. Honorary Citizens at this event were Mildred and Alvin Phillips.  Mildred had assisted Dorothy Chester with writing a book about the history of Latty for the Bicentennial in 1981.  Since over 40 years had elapsed since the original book had been printed, copies of The Latty History 1881-1981 were made available at the festival. Proceeds from the book sales and some donations were given to upgrade the Latty park area.

A check for $1335.69 was given to Latty Council members at their meeting for the Latty Youth Foundation. A few remaining copies are available at the Paulding County History Museum.
