The Great Commission

The Great Commission is a powerful mandate that resonates through time, urging us to share the message of hope and love through Jesus Christ. It invites us to embark on a journey of faith, reaching out to others and spreading the teachings of Jesus Christ that can transform lives. Imagine the impact we can make when we come together, embracing this calling to inspire, change, and foster love, connections across the globe and in our own communities. Let’s explore this profound mission, a call to action by our risen savior, igniting passion and purpose in our hearts, as we unite to uplift and empower those around us to experience this extraordinary supernatural transformation.
The Great Commission is a Christian concept referring to the instructions given by the resurrected Jesus Christ to his disciples to spread the gospel to all nations. It is a call to make disciples of all nations. Baptizing them and teaching them to obey Jesus’s commands. This commission is the central focal point for Christians in the Church.
Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV): Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Once, I was prohibited from baptizing in a particular denominational church because I was not a member of their denomination. Initially, I was angry because I just needed their baptismal font to save souls. After some prayer and meditation, the Lord gave me peace, and I prayed for them.
We must realize that satan desires to sift us like wheat, and he will attempt to carry out this destructive assignment by any means necessary, but primarily through separating us through racial, political, and religious denominations.
Ephesians 4:5-6 (NIV) states: “One Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” This passage emphasizes the unity of believers in Christ and the oneness of God.
The Great Commission was not meant to be exploited through sectarian discretion or denominational autonomy.
Romans 2:11-16 (KJV): For there is no respect of persons with God. For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another). In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
Discipleship involves actively sharing the Christian faith and inviting others to follow Jesus Christ with and through the love of Christ. Ask Jesus Christ to increase your passion.
