The East Allen County Schools Board of School Trustees recognized the EACS Special Olympians for The Indiana Summer Games are held each June on the campuses of Indiana State University and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Nearly 3,000 athletes and unified partners from across the state compete in a variety of Olympic-type sports, including Bowling, Cycling, Horseshoes, Powerlifting, Swimming, Volleyball and Track & Field!
A few weeks ago, the EACS Special Olympic athletes competed in Track and Field and did an amazing job in their events. They represented EACS well and absolutely enjoyed their experience!

Robert Anderson, 2 Gold Medals – Running Long Jump and Javelin; 4th place – 1500 Meter Run
Clifton Martin, Gold Medal – 100 Meter Dash; 4th place – Shot Put; 5th place – Running Long Jump
Seana Law, Gold Medal – 50 Meter Dash; Bronze Medal- Soft Ball Throw; 5th Place – Standing Long Jump
Megan Miller, 2 Silver Medals – shot put and 50 Meter Dash; Bronze Medal – Standing Long Jump
Abby Hamlin, Silver Medal- 50 Meter Dash; 5th place- Standing Long Jump; 6th place- Soft Ball Throw
Olivia Kindler, Gold Medal – 50 Meter Dash; Bronze Medal – Standing Long Jump; 7th place – Soft Ball Throw
