MOMENTS FROM MT. CALVARY

The Advent Season at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Antwerp was full of activity !  Youth of the congregation held a “pre-advent” Lock-In and along with food and fun created over 40 lap blankets for Antwerp Manor residents.

Mt. Calvary women hosted a gathering that featured Jeanne and Bev of the Towpath Players who shared music on the dulcimer and other vintage instruments.   A free will offering of $175 benefited the Woodburn Christian Children’s Home.

Over 35 youth and children shared the Christmas story with the congregation on Dec. 16. Two month old Vivian with her parents Dustin and Sasha also helped share the good news of Christ’s birth. A Birthday Party for Jesus followed the program.  That evening youth and adults of the congregation were found caroling about the community.

Members of the Zartman family (Terry, Erika, Kyle and Aewyn) shared their musical gift with a Christmas Hallelujah on Dec. 23.  Christmas Eve service was led by Vacancy Pastor Tim Zechiel with Blaire and Paige Rebber  on instruments and vocals.

The new Sunday School year begins on January 13 at 9:15 a.m. with a Mt. Calvary Morning Movie showing of “I Can Only Imagine”.  A class will also be held for children aged 10 and younger.  All are welcome to attend the movie with worship afterwards beginning at 10:15.

Mt. Calvary members and friends wish all a blessed New Year and invite you to worship with them every Sunday at 10:15 a.m. at the church located at 3497 County Rd. 424 in Antwerp.
