43rd Annual Women’s Retreat At First Presbyterian Church, Paulding
First Presbyterian Church (EPC) in Paulding OH is hosting its 43rd Annual Women’s Retreat, “Take Heart”, on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 9 am until 1:00 pm. Doors open at 8:30 am. The church is located at the corner of Caroline and Cherry Streets in Paulding, one block from the courthouse square.
This year, our featured guests, Cheri Estle and Susan Pieper, will speak about their faith journeys and personal growth in their relationship with Christ. Cheri is a retired teacher, having taught 35 years at Paulding Middle School. She is now reaching out to local women via her Community Women’s Bible study which meets in person in Oakwood and is presented live on Facebook. She also fills local pulpits on request and does other speaking engagements. Susan is the retired Paulding Carnegie library director, and has had the chance to share her love of Jesus and her testimony with audiences throughout the US and overseas.
The core verse for the day is John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But Take Heart! I have overcome the world.”
In addition to thought-provoking teaching, the retreat includes praise singing with pianist Susan Kayser and music leaders Lori Luderman and Susan Paulus. Brunch will be served by the men of the Presbyterian Church, and there will be rich fellowship with other Christian women. The church is accessible to those with mobility challenges.
Nursery care is available for children from infants through age 4. Be sure to mention this need when you register so we are adequately staffed. You are asked to bring a sack lunch for your child.
Pre-registration is requested by Monday, October 20, 2025 to assist the brunch planners.
