Woodlan Honors Strautman; Swing

Elmer Strautman wore many hats during his career — he was a basketball coach at Harlan & Woodlan High  School as well as the athletic director & a teacher for East Allen County Schools. He began teaching in 1957 at Harlan. He retired in 1997 from East Allen Schools.

Tonight, January 28th, EACS recognized Strautman’s lifelong achievements in a special ceremony before the Woodlan varsity boys game.

Also recognized was Mike Swing. Swing played for Harlan High School under Elmer Strautman. He graduated in 1958.

Paying tribute to both these amazing role models, the Warriors wore the 1965 Harlan Hawks uniforms.
