Antwerp Chamber of Commerce met for their regular meeting on September 21, 2022. This year, the Chamber Board decided to host a Munch & Meet and made an extra effort to invite Chamber members to participate for some networking with the Antwerp business community. Several businesses, organizations, and non-profits attended the Munch & Meet. Guests were allowed some time to speak to the group about what their business has been working on that will benefit the Antwerp community at large. One such guest speaker was Dave from Geenex Solar. He informed the group about the company and the upcoming projects in the surrounding area. Another guest speaker was Darrell and Sara from Metalink. They updated the group about the progress of Fiber being installed in the Village of Antwerp. Chamber member Mike Schneider explained to the chamber members and guests how the Scholarship program works, and there was some positive feedback from the group about the fund. Chamber treasurer, Sue Fowler presented information to the new attendees of the Chamber meeting about NOACC benefits. Chamber members have many resources for their companies at their disposal — from health insurance and prescription discounts to credit card processing to energy savings programs to payroll processing.
After these presentations, the Chamber board proceeded to the regular meeting agenda and set dates for the upcoming holiday season for 2022. These include assisting Antwerp Fire & EMS with Halloween parade & costume judging, Wine Bus Tour, Small Business Saturday, Christmas Tree Lighting event, and Santa’s Secret Shop.
