Antwerp Police Dept. Reports

On August 1, the police department received a complaint in the 500 block of main street for junk and trash, the resident received a nuisance complaint.

On August 2, the police department received an alarm at a downtown business, prior to arriving the business contacted the office and stated it was a false alarm.

On August 2, a resident reported that they were being threatened by an individual. A report was prepared, and followed up with a complaint warrant and the individual was arrested.

On August 2, the Antwerp Police Department received a report of an unwanted individual at one of the churches. An officer arrived, the individual left without incident and was told not to return. 

On August 3, a motor vehicle accident was reported on Buffalo St. Officer responded and prepared a report.

On August 4, a landlord requested a background on a potential tenant.

On August 4, the police department received an alarm at a downtown business, officer responded and found business secured contacted owner.

On August 5 a resident of E. Daggett St. called and reported someone trespassing on their property, officer responded and explained he wasn’t allowed to return. A report was forwarded to the prosecutor 

On August 6 an individual with a warrant was located in the Village of Antwerp, when the officer attempted to arrest the individual, the individual fled on foot. The individual was located a few days later and arrested 

On August 6 Antwerp Police Department assisted the Paulding County Sheriff Department with the arrest of an individual on Canal St.

On August 6 a business owner contacted Antwerp Police Department about a suspicious person that frequents the business

On August 6, an individual with a suspend operator’s license was seen driving on N. Main St. The driver was stopped and cited for the 3rd time and the vehicle was towed 

On August 7 a resident reported that someone had enter their vehicles and also stole a bicycle from the residence. Antwerp Police Department investigated the call, a suspect was determined and a report forwarded to the prosecutor for charges

On August 7 an individual called in reference to obtaining personal items from his girlfriend’s home, the officers provided him with the necessary information

On August 8 a resident reported that children were playing in the street on Woodcox and Madison. An officer responded and located several children in the street. The parents were contacted and told to not allow the children to play in the street.

On August 9 a suspicious vehicle was reported at the park. Officer located the vehicle and determined that someone was just temporarily parking there 

On August 10 Antwerp Police Department assisted Paulding County Sheriff locating individual with a warrant for his arrest and arrested the individual
