Maumee Valley Steam and Gas engine show set Aug. 18-21, 2022

The Maumee Valley Antique Steam & Gas Engine Show 45th show will be held August 18-21 at the Jefferson Township Park, 1720 Webster Road, east of New Haven, IN between U.S 30 and U.S 24.

We are featuring Oliver & Hart Parr Tractors, The Oliver Gang’s summer show and lessor know classics tractors.  

All exhibitors of antique tractors, cars and trucks are also welcome and get free admission when registering at the office.

We will be threshing wheat, sawing lumber, and plowing with steam engines and tractors.  Come and see the 15-ton, 125-horsepower Buckeye Oil Engine that ran the generator for the elevator in Grabill, IN and the Chuse Stationary Steam Engine from the Hicksville, Ohio, Handle Factory in operation.

There will be daily demonstrations by the Indiana Chapter of the Maumee Valley Blacksmiths.  Women can enjoy the flea market , trading post and a large quilt display. Paulding Putman Electric will give a special demonstration at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. on Friday on “The Dangers of Electricity”.

Children can ride the barrel train, play in the sand box or take a tractor driving lesson. On Saturday a Kiddie Tractor Pull will be held at 2:00 p.m. and there will be an Exotic Animal Show at 3:00 p.m. Parades will be at 4:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.  Free hayrides and demonstrations with horses and mules will be Friday and Saturday. Tractor pulls are Friday at 5:00 p.m. and Saturday at 3:00 p.m. weather permitting.

FOOD:

11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday: fish, chicken and pork steak dinners.  Same time Saturday, chicken and pork steak dinners in the pavilion.  There will be other food vendors on the grounds.

Live Entertainment

5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday: The American Legion Band playing songs of the 60’s.

7:30 p.m. Friday: Bluegrass Music by the Scott Brothers Band.  “Steam engine fireworks” after the entertainment.

11:00 a.m. & 1:00 p.m. Saturday: The Applejack Kloggers

6:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday: Bill Werling & the Breakaway Square Dance Band.  (bring your lawn chairs and dancing shoes.) “Steam engine fireworks” after the entertainment.

9:00 a.m. Sunday: Church Service
