Feighner Receives Lifetime Achievement Award 

Fort Wayne law firm HallerColvin PC announces that one of its senior lawyers, John O. Feighner, past managing partner, received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association on May 12, 2022.  The Award honoree is selected by ITLA Past-Presidents, and Mr. Feighner’s choice was unanimous.

Mr. Feighner served as Assistant Allen County Attorney representing the Allen County Sheriff’s Office and other county departments before the state and federal courts from 1977 until August 28, 2018.  

He is a graduate of Culver Military Academy where he was Captain of Troop B, Black Horse Troop.  He obtained his undergraduate degree from Brown University in 1973 and graduated cum laude in 1976 from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. 

Mr. Feighner is Past‑State Chair of the American College of Trial Lawyers and he has been listed in the Best Lawyers of America since 2001.  He is a Past‑President of the Benjamin Harrison Chapter of the American Inns of Court and he is a Past‑President of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association.  He has served five terms on the Board of Trustees of the Fort Wayne Museum of Art and he is a Past‑President of the Museum.  He is a Past‑President of the Fort Wayne Country Club.  

Mr. Feighner also served three terms on the Indiana Judicial Nominating Commission and the Indiana Judicial Qualifications Commission.  He has practiced law in Fort Wayne for more than 45 years.  

He is married to Margy Feighner and has two children, Spencer Feighner and Betsy Miller.
