The Reuben J. Smith Post 297 American Legion in Payne is sponsoring three Wayne Trace Students to participate in the Boys and Girls State Programs this year. Boys State will be held at Miami University and Girls State will be held at the University of Mount Union. The two Boys State Delegates are Kyle Slade, son of Kenneth and Angela Slade of Payne, and Lane Morehead, son of Ricky and Nicole Morehead of Payne. The Girls State delegate is Mallory Moore, daughter of Chad and Tracy Moore of Defiance and the late Audrey Moore.
