November 2, 2021 General Election Information

The Board of Elections of Paulding County, Ohio, wishes to inform voters that the General Election will be held on Tuesday, the 2nd day of November, 2021 at the following locations:

Auglaize Township – Auglaize Fire House at SR 637 & RD 169; Benton Township (Payne Village) and Harrison Township (Payne Village) – Payne Legion Hall, 229 N. Main Street, Payne; Brown Township – Oakwood Fire & EMS Station, 201 N Sixth Street, Oakwood; Crane Township and Cecil Village, Antwerp Village and Carryall Township – Divine Mercy Fellowship Hall, 303 W Daggett Street, Antwerp; Jackson Township & Broughton – Township House at RD 126 & RD 131; Emerald Township, Paulding Township (Latty Village), Paulding Village 1, Paulding Village 2 and Paulding Village 3 – Paulding Co. Extension Building, 503 Fairground Drive, Paulding; Blue Creek Township, Latty Township and Grover Hill Village, and Washington Township – Wayne Trace HS in the Junior High gymnasium, 4915 US 127, Haviland; for the purpose of choosing the following offices:

Fiscal Officer in Crane Township for unexpired term ending 3/31/2024; 2 Trustees in each Township for the full term; Trustee in Jackson Township for unexpired term ending 12/31/2023; Mayor in Cecil Village; Mayor in Antwerp Village for unexpired term ending 12/31/2023; Mayor in Payne Village for unexpired term ending 12/31/2023; 4 Council Members in each Village, except for 3 Council Members in Cecil Village; 1 Board of Public Affairs Member in Latty Village and Payne Village; 2 Board of Education Members in Defiance City School District and Paulding Exempted Village School District; 3 Board of Education Members in Antwerp LSD, Ottoville LSD  and Wayne Trace LSD;  Putnam County Governing Board of Educational Service Center: 3 members; Western Buckeye Governing Board members:  1 member in  District 2 (Crestview LSD) and 1 member in District 4 (Wayne Trace LSD); and determining the following questions or issues:  Health Dept. – health programs; Sheriff Dept. – renewal, maintaining and operating jail; Grover Hill Village – EMS; Latty Village – current expenses; Latty Village – streets; Paulding Village – (3) police issues;  Payne Village – current expenses; Payne Village – police; Benton Township – current expenses; Jackson Township – fire protection; Washington Township – fire protection

The polls for the election will open at 6:30 a.m., and remain open until 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.

The remaining hours for in person absent voting hours with voting being held at the Board of Elections Office  are October 27th   – 29th 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.; October 30th 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; October 31st 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.; November 1st 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.  

The last day the office may mail a ballot is Saturday, October 30th at 12:00 Noon.     An application requesting the mail ballot must be completed first. The office will process the application upon receipt and then the ballot will be mailed to the voter.   Please include contact information on your application should the office need to contact you due to an insufficiency.  The USPS service says to allow 3 – 5 days for mail delivery.  Please don’t delay if you wish to have your ballot mailed to you.
