Antwerp Police Reports

On November 17, a vehicle was stopped on Canal St. for speeding. Driver was sited for going 52mph in 25mph and driving under suspension.

November 16, a resident of Buffalo St. was served a junk notice. 

November 16, the police department received a report of child abuse. The case is being investigated.

On November 16, a resident of Payne reported a contractor had scammed him out of $10,000. The individual was referred to the Paulding County Sheriff Department.

On November 14, a suspicious person was reported in the 100 block of Main St. Officer investigated and found that is was an employee of a local business waiting for a ride home.

On November 14, officers were requested to do a welfare check of an elderly gentleman on Daggett St. Officer went to the resident and made sure everything was okay.

November 13, while doing night time business door checks, an open door was found at one of the businesses. Business owner was contacted and the business was secured.

November 13, a resident reported they received a fraudulent call. The caller claimed that he was an attorney representing a relative and needed the person to send $8500.

On November 12, a vehicle was stopped for failing to stop at the red light at Main and River. Driver was sited for the red light violation, driving under suspension and fictitious plates.

On November 12, police assisted the Texas Family Protected Services by checking on children that lived at a resident in the village.

November 8, a domestic dispute was reported at a residence on Harrmann St. An adult female was arrested and transported to Paulding County Jail and charged with domestic violence.

November 5, Antwerp Police Department received an order of arrest from the Paulding County Sheriff Officer. Officer located the individual near Main and River, placed him under arrest and transported him to jail.

On November 2, a resident reported a man doing door to door soliciting for his roof repair service. The officer located the individual and explained to him that he must have a permit to do door to door sales.
