Dana Lee Hullinger Obituary

FORT WHITE, FLORIDA

Dana Lee Hullinger 64, of Fort White Florida passed away on May 28, 2019. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 36 years Yvonne (Chamberlin) Hullinger, children; Korin Barrs (Jonathan) and Matt Hullinger (Joanne); sister Kathleen (Hullinger) Mercer and brother Richard Dale (Rick) Hullinger.

Dana was born in Celina, Ohio and moved to Florida in 2014 to be close to his children. He proudly served in the United States Navy as a Nuclear Machinist for six years. After his service to his country he worked in industrial maintenance, eventually settling into a career as a millwright at General Motors in Defiance, Ohio.

Dana was the patriarch of his family and taught his children the value of honesty and hard work. His spirit of adventure showed in his hobbies. He loved attending garage sales and auctions, bartering and treasure hunting. He was always adding to his collections of oil cans, coins, knives and plumb bobs. He was a soft-spoken man with a good sense of humor while his quick wit might even encourage an impromptu wrestling match.

Dana will be remembered for his unconditional love of family and friends.

Dana’s ashes will be kept at the Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida.
