Barbara M. Hubbell, 79, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Hickory Creek at Hicksville.
Barbara was born on October 9, 1939, the daughter of the late Darwin and Beatrice Hammond.
She was united in marriage to Ned A. Hubbell Sr. on January 12, 1958 and he preceded her in death on March 5, 2012.
Barbara had a passion for teaching Sunday school and children’s church. She also volunteered in the school cafeteria while her children were in school. She was a homemaker, and in her spare time, she enjoyed crafting, spending time with her family and studying the word of God.
Barb is survived by her children, Allen (Mary Jane) Hubbell, Rebecca Hubbell, Linda (John) Sprinkle, Susan (Thomas) Luderman; nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; two brothers, Bill (Beth) Hammond and Dennis (Wendy) Hammond.
Funeral services for Barb will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville with Pastors Dan Grant and Steve Eyers officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 to 7:00 at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Scipio Cemetery, Harlan, Indiana.
