The Paulding Soil & Water Conservation District is pleased each year to sponsor a Conservation Poster Contest open to Paulding County students in Grades K-12 to see their perspective of natural resource concerns. The theme each year is determined by the National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD) and the theme for 2018 was “Watersheds- Our Water, Our Home”. Students were asked to design a creative poster highlighting why it is important to conserve and protect our water resources. From all the poster submissions, Paulding SWCD staff narrowed down a list of Top 10 contenders to be voted on at the 2018 Paulding County Fair. Posters were evaluated based on conservation message (use of the theme), visual appeal, originality, and universal appeal. Following a vote at the Paulding County Fair, our 1st and 2nd place winners were selected. The Paulding Soil & Water Conservation District thanks all of our poster contest participants for their submissions and a job well done by all! The entries were top-notch!
