Thursday, August 2 is the Youth Parade to kick off the Harlan Days Festival, sponsored by the Harlan Christian Youth Center, Inc. Youth ages 0-15 are encouraged to participate; decorate your bike, decorate a trailer (may use ATV or riding Lawn Mower to pull) Dress up, decorate your power wheels, be creative…The Parade starts at 6PM, come around 5:30 pm to the starting line up to register and get a number. The parade starts at the driveway behind the midway that dead ends at the old Harlan Elementary School. Signs will be up to point to the lineup. The parade will go through the park and around the midway. Judges will be in the Headquarters tent and will announce the winners shortly after the parade ends. Help us kickoff Harlan Days with this annual event. The Theme for Harlan Days this year is “Small Town, BIG Heart”. Carnival ride tickets will be given to all the winners.
