FOUR Northwest State STUDENTS Named to The 2018 All-Ohio Academic Team

Four Northwest State Community College students have been named to the All-Ohio Academic Team. Abram Klopfenstein (Paulding) was named to the All-Ohio Academic Second Team, placing him among the top twenty community college students in the state. Angel Dietrich (Napoleon), Donald Pinckney (Grelton) and Elisha Roden (Montpelier) were named to the All-Ohio Academic Third Team, placing them among the top thirty community college students in the state. The students were honored at a recognition luncheon on April 26th in the Atrium of the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus.

“We are proud of the accomplishments of Angel, Abram, Donald and Elisa,” said Lori Robison, Vice President for Academics at Northwest State. “They have set tremendous examples in the classroom and in their community.” Robison also praised NSCC faculty and staff for their ongoing contributions to student success.

ABOUT THE STUDENTS

Klopfenstein is a member of the Dean’s Leadership Cluster, Phi Theta Kappa, and Kappa Beta Delta and will graduate Summa Cum Laude in May with an Associate of Technical Studies in Crop and Soil Management.

Dietrich is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and will graduate Summa Cum Laude in May with an Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education.

Pinckney is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and will graduate Magna Cum Laude in May with an Associate of Arts.

Roden is a member of Kappa Beta Delta, Phi Theta Kappa, and will graduate Magna Cum Laude in May with an Associate of Applied Business in Accounting.

Created in 1997, the All-Ohio Academic Team provides recognition to outstanding students in Ohio’s public two-year colleges.
