Edd Lee Monhollen age 91 died Sunday, May 6, 2017 at the Community Health Professional – Hospice Center of Defiance, Ohio.
He was born on December 2,1926 in Whitley County Kentucky the son of the late William and China E. (Jones) Monhollen. On October 10,1948 he married A. Faye (Vaughn) Monhollen who survives. Edd retired in 2013 after 60 years as an over the road private sub-contractor truck driver and he was also a farmer. He was an avid hunter and an “American Cowboy” by heart.
Surviving are his wife: Faye of Oakwood, Ohio, a son: Wendell (Angela) Monhollen of Grover Hill, Ohio, three daughters: Treva Bashore of New Carlisle, Ohio, Vera Miller of Antwerp, Ohio and Clara (Randy) Pack of Ohio City, Ohio, three brothers: Clarence “Poodle” (Betty) Monhollen, Roosevelt “Trig” (Dorothy) Monhollen and Chuck Hasselchwert, two sisters: Lillie Smith and Kathy Cox., Eight Grandchildren: Kris, Candace, Kylie, Tim, Eric, Kerri, Brad and Marie, Nine Great Grandchildren: Jacoby, Kaylena, Xavier, Janisha, Lexi, Libby, Carson, Amelia and Chase.
He is preceded in death by his parents and the following siblings: Jay, Nannie, Florence, Thomas, Robert, Viola, George, Ruby, William “Buck” and Margie.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday, May 14, 2018 at the DenHerder Funeral Home Paulding, Ohio. Burial will follow the service at St. Paul Cemetery Paulding Ohio. Visitation will be Sunday, May 13, 2018 at the DenHerder Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and two hours prior to funeral services on Monday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
