PAULDING, APRIL 11, 2018 – On April 6, 2018, “Stuff The Truck” food drive came to an end and all the food and monetary donations were delivered to the Caring and Sharing Food Pantry. Sponsors; Integrity Ford, MY102.7, Chief Supermarkets, United Way of Paulding County, West Bend News and Paulding Chamber of Commerce would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for everyone who supported the food drive. About 10 shopping cart loads or $2,500 worth of groceries were donated and $2,052 in monetary donations were collected. The truck was stuffed!

“This food drive has greatly enhanced our supply and will be a tremendous help now and as we approach the summer months. The pantry will be providing more food for children during the summer, since they won’t be in school for lunches. We can’t thank all who donated enough for their generosity,” says Linda Wilhelm, director at Caring and Sharing Food Pantry.

Ongoing support for the pantry is needed. You are encouraged to continue to drop off donations at Caring and Sharing Food Pantry at 119 South Main Street, Paulding, Ohio, 45879. Volunteers are also needed. The pantry is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 am until noon each week (except on holidays). “It’s important that anyone interested in volunteering knows that we are very flexible and we don’t want to burn anyone out. We appreciate our volunteers and their time. We know everyone is busy, so we work with each person’s schedule and only ask for one day a month,” says Wilhelm.

Joe Barker, station manager for MY102.7 says, “I am always impressed with the generosity from the Paulding County community. Terry Carwile and I want to thank all the partnering sponsors and donors for a successful food drive. Projects like this would not be possible if not for the financial support of our programming sponsors. So again, thank you Paulding County for your ongoing support and generosity.
