Parkview Classic to be hosted by Antwerp

ANTWERP – High school basketball players from Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio will make the trip to Antwerp High School on Sunday, April 15, for the 5th annual Parkview All Star Basketball Classic.

The day will feature a girls and boys all-star game along with a three-point contest in between games and a dunk contest at halftime of the boys game.

Girls all-stars will square off at 4:00 p.m. with the three-point contest immediately following that game. The boys game is then slated to start at 5:30 p.m. and the dunk contest will take place at halftime.

Players from nine schools in northwest Ohio will have representatives in the games.

Participants will come from Antwerp, Crestview, Delphos Jefferson, Edgerton, Hicksville, Lincolnview, Paulding, Van Wert and Wayne Trace. Indiana schools sending players to the game are Adams Central, Eastside, Heritage, Leo, New Haven, South Adams and Woodlan.

Members of the Ohio girls roster are Rachel Williamson (Antwerp), Hope Smith (Antwerp), Paige Motcyka (Crestview), Lyvia Black (Crestview), Sarah Miller (Delphos Jefferson), Addison Bergman (Hicksville), Alexis Kerns (Hicksville), Olivia Gorman (Lincolnview), Audrey Manz (Paulding), Cassidy Posey (Paulding), Cassidy Myers (Van Wert) and Brooke Sinn (Wayne Trace). Coach for the Ohio girls team will be Greg Davis of Paulding.

Girls representing Indiana are Lindsey Beard (Eastside), Maddisyn Heffley (Eastside), Sophia Pierce (Leo), Lexi Dellinger (South Adams), Sydney Pierce (South Adams) and Calyssa Lehman (South Adams). Brett Freeman of South Adams will lead the Indiana squad.

On the boys side, those players on the Ohio team include Derek Stout (Crestview), Tyler Bratton (Delphos Jefferson), Alex Rode (Delphos Jefferson), Tyson Curry (Edgerton), Peyton Tunis (Hicksville), Caden Ringwald (Lincolnview), Marcus Miller (Paulding), Jacoby Kelly (Van Wert), Jake Kuhn (Wayne Trace) and Eli Sinn (Wayne Trace). Crestview’s Jeremy Best will serve as the squad’s coach.

Indiana squad members are Johnny Carroll (Adams Central), Caleb Ballentine (Eastside), Abram Beard (Heritage), Lamar Hudson (Heritage), Jeremy Davison (Leo), Lane Reed (Leo), Zach Latham (New Haven), Brecar Clark (New Haven), James Gardner (New Haven), Aaron Hahn (Woodlan) and Ah’lan Howard (Woodlan). The coach for the Hoosier squad will be Eastside’s Ryan Abbott.
