House Stupendum wins trip to Crazy Pinz

House Stupendum girls: left to right – Katelyn Estle, Regan Akom, Claire McClure, Kiarra Hawn, and Sydney Price.

House Stupendum had the highest third quarter points and won the trip to Crazy Pinz. House Vico Vici Victum has the overall current lead of points. Teachers, when we first started the House initiative, chose to work the points in the 2nd and 3rd nine weeks to have the incentive to be based on the points earned that quarter to give a chance of another House to win an incentive while maybe not being to overall point leader during that stretch.  The first and fourth quarter are stand alone for total points.

Other events the students took part in at Crazy pinz – non stop bowling, putt-putt, arcade and a meal provided.  These opportunities would not be possible without our sponsors.  Our sponsors are The Herbert Orr Company, Marcos Pizza, Integrity Ford of Paulding, Insource, Paulding VFW, Paulding Eagles, The Klint Manz Family, Baughman Tile Company, State Bank and Trust, LaFarge, Dr. Michael M. Mott D.D.S., Paulding Putnam Electric, and Paulding Kiwanis.

Upcoming events are: April 27th House Competition Drive One for Your School  – Integrity Ford of Paulding with the help of Rick Greear, will be having a test drive of a Ford vehicle which will raise funds for the school. A test drive can earn twenty dollars for the students of Paulding. An additional test drive of a featured Ford model can earn another ten dollars. We will have a competition between Houses and encourage the public to come and support students by test driving a vehicle. A short survey is filled out and the House that you test drive for can earn 2 points for the first test drive and for the second of the featured Ford model can earn another point. The House with the most points for the test drive will be provided an all you can eat Marcos pizza, subs, wings party while the points will get a House closer to the goal of winning the House Cup and securing the Cedar Point tickets. The Drive One for Your School will take place in the Emerald lot behind the school from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please consider supporting our students.

The Dominion Cup Challenge that was started last year for Seniors of Paulding and Hicksville High Schools will be held at Hicksville this year on May 16th. This is a an adventure for Seniors to try to secure the traveling trophy (The Dominion Cup) for their school and promotes positive sportsmanship and a chance for Seniors of both schools to get to know each other as they learn to work together for a common purpose.  Due to the efforts of teachers of both schools the event last year went great and look forward to another positive experience for the schools and the Seniors who prepare to graduate High School.  Marcos sponsored the event last year and will look to do again this year.
