Last fall, Hartzog Lumber in Paulding modified their ownership and brought on Jeff Clark. As you may or may not know, Hartzog Lumber and Supply has been a staple business in Paulding County for over 100 years.

Prior to Jeff Clark coming on board, Lynn Keller and Jim Phlipot purchased it with Rex Gray, Sr. and then in the fall of 2007 it was bought from Doyle Hartzog.

Back in the early days, it was owned by the Savage brothers who also had a sawmill and served the area with good, local wood for construction.

Today, the retail and supply store works to help with contract work and provides premium lumber versus the box stores of providing other grades. Walk-ins are welcome Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

On large orders, Hartzog Lumber can work out delivery right to your construction site. This makes it much easier for custom projects and homebuilders.

Hartzog may be known for their lumber, but they also have a full line of custom doors, windows, cabinets and granite countertops. They know exactly how to help you the best possible way to get your kitchen or remodeling project exactly the way you want it with their experience in the industry.

Jeff Clark is very much experienced in construction. He owned and operated Clark Homes which was in business for 28 years. Jim, Lynn and Jeff all now work as contractors for Hartzog Lumber.

All seven employees, that includes the owners, will work hard to make sure you get the wood and resources you need to get the project finished.

With Hartzog Lumber being around for so many years and these employees having much experience, you can count on them to know what your project will cost and to help you keep it under budget.

When you go inside Hartzog, you will notice that they recently refreshed the store. The rearrangement put things in their own order such as paint is now in one station, and flooring is in another, plumbing is in another section. This organization makes it much easier for the walk-in customer to know exactly where to find things and get help when they need it.

Do you need glass or screen repair, how about custom wood cutting or even bending aluminum sheet metal? That’s right, Hartzog can handle it all from small projects to large products, this store can be one of your favorites for remodeling or new additions.

Pittsburgh Paints has also made Hartzog a dealer. They have good quality paints with custom mixes, swatches and guides to make your interiors or exteriors exactly what you intended.

In the last few weeks, the store has also added a full line of Irwin tools and bits. This large selection makes it much easier and you don’t have to drive to the big city.

Their selection of tools may not be the largest of scales, but you can see they have what you need and that includes Senco air nailers and air compressors.

Hartzog has been in business for many years and can help you. The lumber they supply is North American.
