Rams Hold Off Archers for GMC Win

ANTWERP – Tinora improved to 9-5 overall on the season and 3-1 in the Green Meadows Conference with a 39-36 win over Antwerp in boys basketball action Friday night.

Tinora jumped in front 14-8 after one quarter and held a 22-17 advantage at the midway point of the contest. The Rams were on top 28-23 at the end of three periods.

Ty Rebber paced the way for Antwerp with 8 points while Luke Brewer added seven markers. Keaton Altimus and Jayvin Landers chipped in six points each for the Archers as well.

Other scorers for the blue and white were Cole Seslar (5), Brayton Stuckey (2) and Jake Ryan (2).

Tye Norden topped Tinora with 11 points and Brady Bumb also reached double figures with 10 markers.

Landon Rinkel (6), Brayden Flory (4), Marcus Grube (3), Ryan Mohr (3) and Isiah Colon (2) all found the scoring column for Tinora as well.

On the night, Antwerp totaled 11 rebounds compared to the Rams’ 10 while the Archers had more turnovers, 9-7.

Tinora was a sizzling 14 of 23 from the field (61%) while Antwerp also shot well, hitting 15 of 28 shots (54%). At the charity stripe, the Rams were 7 of 12 for 58% with the Archer hitting two of three (67%).
