During October 24-28, many FFA chapters from across the nation including 13 Paulding FFA members, traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana for the 90th Annual National FFA Convention. The members traveled to Indianapolis, after their school day on October 24th, when they arrived, they enjoyed a nice meal sponsored by the Paulding FFA Alumni.

Our members had busy schedule full of educational tours that allowed them to learn more about agriculture and FFA. Our chapter attended the opening session where Laila Ali, daughter of Muhammad Ali was the keynote speaker. She delivered a very inspirational speech about her life challenges and how she was able to overcome those challenges and inspire others.

Throughout the week our members toured Fair Oaks Dairy, ADM, Indianapolis Zoo and Beck’s Hybrids where they got to learn about these agricultural businesses while meeting other FFA members from around the nation.

In the evenings, members attended a Rascal Flatt Concert, went to the World’s Toughest Rodeo and has a blast at the Ohio Buckeye Bash dance.

On the last day of National Convention, the members and advisors attended the American Degree ceremony, where they watched 2 Paulding FFA members receive their American Degree. Members were Luke Jackson and Alexis Howell that received the highest degree possible in FFA.  The Paulding FFA Chapter is very proud of these two members and their accomplishments.  The Paulding FFA members would like to give a special apprecation to the Paulding FFA Alumni for their support to the Paulding FFA Chapter and its members.
