PAULDING, OH:
Richard Lee Ross age 75 died Wednesday, August 5, 2015 in a farming accident.
He was born September 16, 1939 in Paulding, Ohio, the son of William and Bernice (Workman) Ross Sr. He married Rose Ellen Grimes and she preceded him in death on June 8, 1999. He retired from LaFarge Corporation and was a US Marine veteran. He was a member of Horseman Association and an avid horse racer.
He is survived by his fiancé, Marjorie Moore Scott, Paulding; three children: Rhonda McClure, Van Wert, Rick Ross, Mt. Vernon and Robert (Stacy) Ross, Haviland; brother, William (Janet) Ross Jr., Grover Hill; sisters, Karen (Roger) Craft, Patty Lou (John) Thiel, Nancy (Kevin) Albright, Virginia (Wayne) Hersherger, Gloria (Irvin) Tumblin, Nila Larson and Linda (Rodney) Allen; grandchildren: Shawn McClure, Tachea Wall, Brian Ross, Shane Scott, Beth Ross, Jill Ross, Emily, Dawn and Janelle Workman; great grandchildren: Logan, Braiden, Haylin, Sam and Isabella.
He is also preceded in death by a brother, Ray Dean Ross.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Tuesday, August 11 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding. Burial will be in Hedges Cemetery, Paulding County with military graveside services by Paulding VFW Post #587.
Visitation will be 2 – 8 PM Monday, August 10 at Den Herder Funeral Home and one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
