Kids Against Hunger @ New Haven Middle School

New Haven Middle School Enrichment classes have been studying and researching Hunger in our world today. Students worked closely with local doctors to develop a blend of rice, 21 vitamins and minerals, and protein to help starving people with the basic nutrition they need for a day. The students will package 15,000 meals at 9:30 am. The meals will be shipped to the Philippines to people suffering from starvation.

Students organized a fundraiser called “Stick it to Hunger”. Teachers who received the most money (provided by students) in their buckets will be duct taped to the wall by a group of students at the school-wide assembly beginning at 2:20 pm. Students raised over $3400 to support this cause.
