Latta Speaks at Launch of Antwerp Schools’ Solar Array; Attends Other Meetings in Paulding County

Latta talks with county EMA Directors.

Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) participated in a roundtable, toured a manufacturing plant, and spoke at the launch of a brand new solar array in Paulding County. Latta participated in a roundtable discussion at the Paulding County Fairgrounds with county Emergency Management Agency Directors from around Ohio’s 5th Congressional District where they discussed federal efforts to support emergency preparedness. After that discussion, Latta toured the LaFarge Cement Plant in Paulding.

On the last stop of the day, Congressman Latta joined Antwerp Local Schools Superintendent Marty Miller as students symbolically turned on power for the new solar array for the school district.

“Spending the day in Paulding County allowed me the opportunity to provide updates for folks on what we’re working on in Congress, including recent tax reform efforts and discussions around our nation’s energy policy,” said Latta. “I also appreciated the opportunity to hear from emergency management directors, educators, and manufacturers about the issues they are facing. The new solar array for the Antwerp schools is an exciting addition, and I was happy to be able to participate in today’s celebration.”
