ANTWERP – Tinora entered week nine of the high school football season needing wins in each of its final two games to keep alive its playoff chances for week 11.

The Rams got the first half of that equation done on Friday night as the green and white blanked host Antwerp 34-0 in Green Meadows Conference action to improve to 5-4 overall and 4-2 in the league.

Brady Bumb had touchdown runs of 13 yards and one yard in the opening quarter as the Rams jumped in front 13-0 at the end of one period.

Andrew Imthurn added a five-yard plunge for a score in the second quarter to expand the lead to 21-0 at the break and the Rams would never be threatened.

Bumb and Imthurn combined to score five times on the night and amassed 203 yards on the ground between them.

Imthurn added a 14-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to make it 28-0 before closing out the game’s scoring with a six-yard scamper in the final period.

Antwerp dropped to 1-8 overall and 0-6 in the league with the loss.

Luke Brewer topped the Archers with three receptions for 50 yards.

Tinora goes into week ten standing 12th in the Division VI, Region 22 computer rankings. However, a win for the Rams over visiting Wayne Trace would keep Tinora’s hopes alive for a spot in the opening round of playoff action on November 3. A loss to the Raiders eliminates any playoff chance.
