Perry Richard Sinn

Perry Richard Sinn died after an aggressive illness.

July 13, 1960 – October 15, 2017

Perry was passionate about his family and community. Perry was born at the Paulding County Hospital. He was the fourth of six children born to Don and Juleah (Smith) Sinn. Perry lived in the same town, Latty, and basically the same house, his entire life. He loved Paulding County and especially his life in Latty. He believed with all his heart that he lived a wonderful life in the best place in the world. It seemed to us that he knew everyone and genuinely liked everyone he ever met. He graduated from Wayne Trace High School. For approximately 40 years Perry worked in what became the family business, selling and moving furniture, appliance, and flooring. In the mid 1990’s, he bought Don and Perry’s from his father. He ran the store up until days before he died. It was a major part of his life.

Perry was pleased to serve 25 years in the Latty Ball Association, more than 25 years as a basketball official, and 12 years on the Wayne Trace School Board. He loved attending high school and professional sports. In addition to attending, Perry also enjoyed supporting Wayne Trace High School sports including cooking brats and hamburgers for home football games for 15 years.

Perry loved professional baseball and the Baltimore Orioles in particular. Attending and watching games with family and friends was one of his favorite pastimes. Even when he wasn’t feeling good, he enjoyed watching the games on television.

Perry and his wife, Annette (Hunt), were married 25 years. Together, they raised five children. Those children and their spouses are: Kelly (Sinn) and Jason Detter of Auburn, IN, Joseph and Kirsten (Buop) Sinn of Huntertown, IN, Peter and Ashley (Taylor) Sinn of Antwerp, Hank Sinn attending Oberlin, and his fiancé, Alexis Flores of University of Akron, and Estie Sinn attending Miami University. Perry loved and was proud that all five children would be college graduates.

Perry and Annette enjoyed hosting family parties in the pole building and at their pool. They enjoyed fun family vacations at exciting locations.

Perry is survived by his wife, Annette, his children and grandchildren, his mother, Juleah (Smith) Sinn of Latty, OH his mother and father in-law, Larry and Nancy (Hahn) Stoller of Paulding, Ohio, his father in-law Ken Hunt of Cecil, OH, his siblings: Becky (Sinn) Van Fleet of Phoenix, AZ, Don/Gene and Sharon (Yoh) Sinn of Ayersville, OH, Tom and Laurie (Ankney) Sinn of Latty, OH, Ken and Bobbi (Sinn) Macy of Waterloo, IN, and Mike and Barb (Von Sossen) Sinn of Latty, OH, his sisters-in-law Vicki (Hunt) English of Paulding, OH, Kim and Laurie (Stoller) Carnahan of Oakwood, OH, Wayne and Lisa (Stoller) Davis of Antwerp, OH, his uncle Larry Sinn of Briceton, OH and his cousin Robin Sinn, her son Sam, and friend, Adrianne Batt of Defiance, OH, his aunt Diane (Miller) Sinn of New Haven, IN and his cousins Tony and Kate Sinn of Cleveland, OH, Travis and Jennie (Sinn) Brummond, of Chelsea, MI.

Perry’s loss so deeply saddens us. Our connection to him made us better for the experience, and oh, what an experience! We know that he will be at the ballgames in Heaven. Good game, Perry!
