On Tuesday, September 26, Grand Lake Eagles traveled to the Hawk’s Nest to play the Harlan Lady Hawks’ Junior High A team and the Varsity. The Junior High A team was the first to play. The Harlan Lady Hawks won in two sets. The first set was 25-18 and the second 25-16. Lydia Miesle and Kaitlyn Brown both had a kill. Lydia Miesle made a total of 14 serves.
Varsity played the next game. The first set was 25-8 Hawks won that one. Alana Gingerich served 11 times in the first set alone! The Hawks also won the second set which was 25-11. The third set was a bit closer with 25-21 but, the Lady Hawks pulled through with the win. Samantha Ludwig had a total of 6 kills.
