Bulldogs run past Archers in GMC battle

ANTWERP – Edgerton ran for 386 yards and the Bulldogs scored the game’s first 35 points in rolling past Antwerp 56-13 Friday night in Green Meadows Conference football action.

Hunter Prince rushed for 194 yards on 13 carries and Cameron Jordan added 134 yards on nine rushes to lead the Bulldogs, who improve to 5-2 overall and 2-2 in the GMC.

Antwerp falls to 1-6 on the season with the loss, while the Archers remain winless in four conference games.

Blake Schuette passed for 252 yards to lead the blue and white, including a pair of touchdown passes to Cole Seslar.

The Schuette-Seslar duo hooked up for a 63-yard scoring strike in the second quarter before Schuette found Seslar on a nine-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.

Prince had four touchdown runs for Edgerton, finding the end zone from 58 yards, 7 yards, 17 yards and 51 yards.

Jordan and Colin Gary each had interception returns for touchdowns as well for the Bulldogs.

Edgerton led 21-0 after one quarter and expanded the lead to 49-7 at the break. The Bulldogs led 56-7 entering the final period.

Antwerp hits the road on Friday to battle the Aces as Hicksville host its Homecoming Night. Edgerton will stay at home on Friday to welcome in visiting Wayne Trace.
