Paulding FFA Travels to the Ohio State House

By: Emma Horstman, Paulding FFA Reporter

Recently, five Paulding FFA officers traveled down to Columbus for the Ohio Legislative Leadership Conference. The officers included, Sentinel Abbie McMichael, Reporter Emma Horstman, Treasurer Kaylie Tressler, Parliamentarian Riley Noffsinger, Student Advisor Shannon Hale and their Ag Education teacher, Mrs. Staci Miller. In the morning, these students got to mingle with other FFA chapters, explore the State House, and participate in multiple activities involving our state legislature. The chapters were served lunch and got to meet State FFA officers, and state representatives. During lunch they got to listen to the Director Daniels the chair of the Ohio Department of Agriculture, he was a former FFA member and he has a true passion for FFA.  All of the officers agreed that they learned how important our legislators are to the state of Ohio and what a great experience the Ohio Legislative Leadership Conference was.
