The Paulding Soil & Water Conservation District holds a poster contest every year for Paulding County students in Kindergarten through 12th grade with a national theme that highlights the conservation message. The 2017 theme was “Healthy Soils are Full of Life!” which challenged students to highlight the activity that takes place in our soils that allows us to grow plants. Entries were reviewed locally and the winners were forwarded on to the state level contest. At the local level, 1st place goes to Sydnee Sinn of Wayne Trace Junior High who received $25, with 2nd place going to Cully Thompson of Paulding Elementary who received $10 from Paulding SWCD.
