PCHF Makes Donation to Hospital

PCHF Executive, Director Sue Dangler presents the check on behalf of the Foundation to PCH CEO Randy Ruge.

How do you measure quality of life in a rural community? One of the primary measures is the availability of excellent health care, provided locally to residents. Paulding County is fortunate to have an award-winning hospital, offering services ranging from emergency medicine, visiting specialists, and hospital-employed physicians, to home-based healthcare. The Paulding County Hospital Foundation was founded in 1999 to support our local hospital, to help insure that all residents have access to affordable, local health care, wellness facilities, and the services of exceptional physicians and health-care providers. The Foundation raises funds through donations, fund-raisers, and memberships, and relies on the generosity of the public in order to implement our mission of supporting and promoting Paulding County Hospital, high-quality health care and wellness in our communities. All monies raised stay in Paulding County, and are fully tax deductible to the Foundation, with our 501 (c)(3) status. So far in 2017, the Foundation has awarded $3,000 in healthcare scholarships to graduating seniors who plan to pursue college degrees in the medical field. Recipients were: Paulding High School graduate Preston Johanns, attending Ohio Northern University; Wayne Trace graduate Brady Stabler, attending University of Findlay; and Antwerp High School graduate Matthew Dooley, attending Trine University. Most recently, the Paulding County Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce a gift of $6,500 directly to the Paulding County Hospital. These funds will be used toward the new Women’s Imaging Center, which is currently under construction in the Hospital. The new Imaging Center will offer state-of-the-art imaging for mammography, with a focus on patient privacy and the most modern technology.
