Paws In The Park At New Haven Farmers Market

On August 30th, New Haven Parks Department’s Farmers Market is hosting a Paws in the Park adoption information event from 4:00  p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Come out & visit with various animal rescue organizations to talk with them about adopting, fostering, volunteering, and helping provide food for our four legged friends. Bring your leashed pets for a fun event at the park. Be sure and put some extra pet food in your market bag to donate to the Pet Food Pantry! Some of the organizations attending & their information include:

Allen County Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) has been providing a safe haven for homeless cats and dogs in Northeast Indiana for more than 65 years.  They are a  limited-intake facility offering a comprehensive adoption program.  Every year they place thousands of dogs and cats into forever homes. Operating without any financial support from the government, the Allen County SPCA survives through the generosity of pet lovers in our community.

Fort Wayne Pet Food Pantry mission is to keep pets home with their families. The Pet Food Pantry provides pet food at no cost to pet owners who are struggling financially and cannot afford to feed their pets. Bring a few cans or bags of food to this event to help FILL THEIR PANTRY!

EB Feline Rehoming which is dedicated to rescuing, providing sanctuary, insuring good health, and placing cats and kittens into loving and pet-responsible homes. This group strives to educate the public about the importance of spay/neuter to help reduce the population of unwanted, homeless, or abandoned cats in our community. Our adoptable kittens are cared for in foster homes.

H.O.P.E. for Animals is a nonprofit animal welfare group dedicated to eliminating the preventable euthanasia of healthy cats and dogs. It pursues that mission through education, spay/neuter, and by supporting rescue.

Fort Wayne Pitbull Coalition (FWPBC) has a mission to improve the conditions for Pit Bull type dogs in Northern Indiana through education, public awareness and providing resources for Pit Bulls in need.
