Woodlan FFA Poultry Teams Compete

Woodlan FFA members competed in the State FFA Poultry Judging contest recently held near Purdue University. The Junior Poultry   team of Emily Tripp, Dakotah Krohn, and Bailey Nickell placed 3rd in state competition in the Junior level competition. They will be         receiving a team plaque at the Indiana FFA State Convention held in June for placing in the top three teams. The Woodlan FFA Senior team of Gus Wyss, Nicki Gerbers, Allie Knepp, and Henry Wyss  placed 6th in State FFA Poultry Judging. Poultry judging consist of evaluating 7 different areas in poultry production. Some of the areas evaluated are: egg grading, carcass grading of chickens, ducks and turkeys, and judging live production hens.
