Paul J. Eiserle

PAULDING, OH:

Paul J. Eiserle died Monday, June 5, 2017 at his residence.

He was born April 20, 1938 in Cecil, Ohio to the late Frank and Elizabeth (Keim) Eiserle. He served in the US Army from 1961 – 1963. On November 14, 1964 he married Jacqulin Vance. Paul retired from the Department of Defense, Columbus, Ohio as a computer-programming engineer in 2002.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie, Paulding; son, Bruce (Sue) Eiserle, Bluffton, OH, daughter, Shelly Balzer, Garrett, IN; grandchildren, Ashtin Balzer (fiancé, Aaron Borden), Garrett, IN, and Benjamin Eiserle, Findlay, OH; a brother, David (Deborah) Eiserle, Ft. Wayne, IN; and many nieces and nephews.

He is also preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Velma Eiserle, and a sister, Helen Sigley.

Paul was known for his sense of humor and practical jokes, and his love of the Detroit Tigers and Lions. He was a member of Paulding Divine Mercy Catholic Parish, Knights of Columbus #2584, Paulding VFW Post #587, Arbor Day Foundation, and a charter member of John Paulding Historical Society. He was an avid gardener and loved to spend time with his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery with military graveside rites accorded by VFW Post #587.

Visitation will be 4 – 8 PM with a wake service at 7:30 PM Wednesday, June 7 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding. There will also be visitation on Thursday from 10 AM until service time.
