Lisa Noneman has been working in the area for years. In Paulding she worked at various activities including realty. One of Lisa’s favorite activities has been art and over the past several years she has been working to create the job she loves: flowers and art. The new business, opened in early May at 4415 Bull Rapids Rd., Woodburn just behind her husband, Lowell’s business called Noneman Machine, is called The Fat Hen.

The Fat Hen is a small business that prepares silk flowers for any event such as weddings, funerals and everything in between. In addition to the arrangements there are houseplants available to give life to your home.

What you may not know is that she also has art classes on the side. The initial front room may be small at this location, but she has a much larger area that is useable just for this sort of activity. One such event being planned is for art classes and canvas parties.

Beth Woods of Indiana Wild and Woodburn Chamber President stated, “The Woodburn Chamber and Council welcome The Fat Hen and wish Lisa the best of luck for many years as she starts her business in downtown Woodburn.”

Ms. Noneman loves all kinds of medium including water color, acrylic, oil, and digital. Lisa’s work was featured in the magazine “Digital Studio” published in the spring of 2017.

Lisa realized the need for a flower shop in Woodburn and pushed to make it possible.

Business hours for the Fat Hen are 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday – Thursday; 12:00-6:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Welcome The Fat Hen to the area!
