Ground breaking for the new training facility for first responders in Paulding County got underway Monday morning. EMA Director, Edward Bohn, applied for the Local Government Capital Safety grant and was awarded $177,165 from the Ohio Development Services for the facility.

This facility will be utilized by local fire, law enforcement and EMS. First responders, as well as any agencies out of county, will have access to the training facility for a fee. The new facility will be located across from the Nature Center on Fairground Drive. The training facility is hoped to be completed sometime in November of this year. The purchase of the Bullex Digital Fire Trainer will be on display at the Paulding County Fair. This training device will be used for both the firefighters and the public.
