The Woodlan FFA Junior and Senior Horse and Pony judging teams traveled to the Wells County 4-H Park to compete in the Area XI, judging event on Saturday, April 29. Both teams Judged six classes of horses that included: Yearling Halter, POA Mares, Stock Mares, Stock Geldings, Western Pleasure, and English Hunter Under Saddle. The Junior team gave one set of reasons on a horse class to an expert judge while the Senior team gave two sets of reasons on two horse classes. The Junior team of Erica Whitehead, Bailey Nickell, and Emily Tripp placed 4th best team in the Area. The Senior team of Maddie Werling, Sydni Klopfenstein, and Helena Emenheiser finished as the 5th best team in this Area competition.
