Antwerp hosted the Parkview Sports Medicine 4th Annual All Star game Sunday, April 23rd. These all star players were chosen for their exemplary skills in the sport of basketball.

The Hoosier ladies came on strong in the first period on this Sunday game when they scored 19 in the first half, lead by Indiana MVP Rain Hinton of Woodlan. The first half leader for the Buckeyes was Faith Vogel of Paulding when she added up five. The first half ended 19-10. Skyler McCullough both sharing the top spot from three point shots. The game finished with 46-27. Faith Vogel and Rain Hinton were named MVP’s of their respective teams.

In between the boys and girls matches was the three point contest, starting with the girls. There were several excellent contenders for this top spot but the one that ended up the winner was Abbie Heischman of Leo.

injured the day before and was not able to participate on the court.

The boys game started following the three point contest and the match was reversed as it was Ohio taking it all in from the beginning. The hoosiers did very well, but it was Ohio who took the game. Matt Jones was scoring all over the place for the game. The game was a 3 point match in the first half. Marcus Teeter from South Adams nailed three point baskets left and right – 5 altogether. The first half of the game was 54-44 and Ohio was on top. 19-3 pointers for the game and 8 for the Hoosiers. One of the refs commented on how they liked this game and wished all would go this well in a relaxed atmosphere.

The game started up again and Matt Jones had a fantastic 2nd half. Altogether the game finished at 103-68 and Ohio won the game. Ohio and Indiana are now 2-2 in this Parkview sponsored series.
