Easter Egg Hunt At The Antwerp Conservation Club

Zach Knight

On April 8th the Antwerp Conservation Club held their annual Easter Egg Hunt. It was a picture perfect day. Sunshine, green grass, slight breeze, excited children and families members. Children were jumping out of the family cars with their baskets and bags in hand.

They were ready to go. Some were so excited that they were rolling around in the grass and climbing the mounds. Club members filled a table with cookies for the egg hunters and family members to enjoy while waiting for the hunt to start. At 1:00 p.m. the kids were divided by age groups and sent to their egg hunt areas. The start signal was given and the race was on. The eggs were hidden in some easy to find spots and others were placed in harder

locations. The kid’s eyes were wide open looking for the eggs. They were running from one side to the other to gather as many as they could. Some worked in groups, others went off on their own. The bags became full very quick. Once all the eggs were found they went into the clubhouse to discover what treasures they had found. The eggs were loaded with candy, money and some paper prize tags. The prize tags were for the three large Easter baskets. The winners of the baskets were Zach Knight, Logan Breckler and Nathan Dzib.
