Casino Night recognizes businesses & entertains

The OSU Extension building was decorated in the style of the Irish on Friday night March 17th. The dinner began with a lovely spread of hors d’oeurves and sliders to please the palate and break the ice for an evening of the business owners who support the Paulding

Chamber of Commerce and Paulding County. While guests were relishing in the tasty cuisine of the evening, officers of the Chamber presented awards to several worthy businesses and individuals serving Paulding and surrounding community. The following are the awards and recipients: GOLDEN SHOVEL AWARD – H.E. Orr OUTSTANDING BUSINESS OF THE YEAR

– Ace Hardware OUTSTANDING VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR (Tie) – Rhonda Smalley & Kim Tracy MILESTONE AWARD – Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative, 80 years; Bittersweet Inn, 20 years; First Federal Bank, 20 years After the dinner, the games began with poker, blackjack, craps and roulette as well as the ever popular slot machines. The party was festive… and at times rather boisterous! Attendees were vying for the coveted tickets that were used to participate in a drawing for some of the many prizes that had been donated by Chamber members. The prizes included 3 month membership to the PCH fitness center, free radio spots with WMYW, 4KD Crick mug club membership, two tickets to see Hit Men at the Niswonger, Paulding Auto Group oil change, Hartzog Lumber gift certificate, Past Time Cafe gift certificate, Paulding Senior Center gift basket, Subway gift card, Cooper Farms gift basket, gift cards & free ice cream cake from Dairy Queen and Paulding Ace Hardware Tool set and rental — oh and did I mention somebody

won a wallet full of money from Baughman Tile?! Lucky winners there! In the silent auction there were two exciting items to be won — a Vera Bradley weekender set and a membership to Eagle Rock and AuGlaize Golf Courses. Eric Baughman won the Vera Bradley bags and Rick Greer won the Golf membership.
