Community Memorial Hospital, Hicksville OH, Presents Program on Colorectal Cancer Awareness

Community Memorial Hospital (CMH) is committed to raising the community’s awareness of health issues. March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month and this is a great opportunity to share the importance of getting a colonoscopy, a procedure that could save your life.  On March 21st, Dr. Jeffrey Justice, General Surgeon at CMH, will present information and answer questions about colonoscopies. Also speaking about his personal experiences with colon cancer is Jerry Vandeveer, a Fort Wayne man who has vowed to make people aware of the danger and how easy colon cancer is to prevent by getting a relatively simple procedure, a colonoscopy. Jerry lost his wife Linda to colon cancer recently and he is spending his own money to raise awareness, including putting up numerous billboards around the city of Fort Wayne. CMH joins Jerry in his efforts to raise awareness by presenting this free program given in the Community Rooms at CMH on March 21st at noon.  The presentation should last no longer than one hour and colon healthy food will be served. Please call Lori at 419-542-5560 to RSVP by March 17.
