Woodburn to Celebrate The Christmas Season With A Lighted Parade

Christmas-Eve-Service-Vidor-TXThere’s definitely a chill in the air…so we’re thinking about the annual Woodburn Lighted Christmas Parade!  Mark your calendars once again for what has become a family tradition for many people in our community — the parade begins at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2016!

Since the first year, the parade has quickly grown into a favorite local event. Businesses, organizations and residents a like decorate  floats, cars, horses and even themselves with lights of the Christmas season, and then stroll down  Main street ending at Woodburn United Methodist Church parking lot. This year the parade will begin at the Community center travel down Main St. ends in the front, and the crowd joining together in the singing of Christmas carols.

Festivities take place including refreshments… hot cocoa donated by Bob’s Restaurant, living nativity put on by some Woodburn youth on property supplied by Joe Malfait, music, Santa, and more. This year Santa will be located inside the storefront on the corner of Main St. and Bull Rapids in front of Sam & Carter’s.
