On Saturday, November 12, 2016, starting at 11:00 a.m., at the corner of Bryan and West Arthur Streets, The Hicksville Veterans Memorial dedication, honoring all veterans will take place in Hicksville, Ohio. This memorial honors veterans from all five branches of our armed forces and includes large memorial tablets to each of those branches with an even larger central monument with historic timelines of all wars, including a life-size flying bronze eagle and a bronze battle cross. We invite all veterans from Northwest Ohio to come and see this beautiful memorial dedicated to them.

Schedule for the event is:

11:00: Hicksville Band plays Stars and Stripes Forever; 11:03: Mayor Diane Collins – Opening remarks and introduction of the event; 11:08: Jack Teeple will lead us in prayer; 11:10: Hicksville American Legion Color Guard Presents Colors; 11:15: Hicksville Band plays the National Anthem; 11:18: Mayor Diane Collins leads audience with Pledge of Allegiance; 11:20: State Senator Cliff Hite; 11:25: Tanya Brunner, Defiance County Veterans Affairs Office; 11:45: Taps; 12:00: Hicksville Fire Department Ladies Auxilliary will host a luncheon at the Hicksville Park Pavillion (there will be a free will donation with the proceeds given to the Hicksville Veterans Memorial Committee).
